The Envy rubric

How Envy judges an email.

The rendered artifact is the test. Structure, source code, and intent matter only when they become visible work.

Seven visible decisions.

Hierarchy

1.5x

A clear focal point and a deliberate visual order.

Calls to action

1.5x

Actions are clear, useful, and appropriate to the email genre.

Brand

1.5x

The artifact feels considered and specific to its source.

Scannability

1x

The message survives a three-second skim.

Typography

1x

Scale, rhythm, readability, and restraint work together.

Color

1x

The palette is cohesive, legible, and intentional.

Image and text

1x

The parts support one another rather than flattening into a poster or wall of copy.

What the number means.

Each area receives 0 to 5. Hierarchy, calls to action, and brand carry extra weight. Emails scoring 78 or higher may be added to the library.

weighted mean / 5 x 100

Who looks.

A vision model scores every rendered email against the same criteria. People set the standard, review the calibration set, and decide which emails belong in Envy. Scores cover design, not campaign performance.

The Proof Loop marks what Envy noticed. It does not claim that a person manually approved every email.
